Michelle is a storyteller.

Her work focuses on authenticity, creativity, and our shared humanity. Whether it’s a film, an event, a class, or her voice, she brings an optimistic spirit and unique point of view to her work, while also shining a light on—and amplifying—important issues and causes.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Michelle fell in love with the theater at age 8 after seeing Dick Van Dyke in The Music Man at the Pantages Theatre. Shortly after, at age 10, she auditioned for and earned a spot in the coveted Los Angeles Children’s Choir (later known as Kids of the Century), where she sharpened her chops as a performer — singing, dancing, and acting across the city, and competing and winning in national championships. Her love of film also blossomed during this time, as she devoured classic films and musicals on KTLA’s weekly Family Film Festival.

This early love of performance led to work in theater, film, commercials, and voiceover in the U.S., U.K, the Netherlands and South Africa.

Her passion for giving teens a voice and an outlet, along with her belief in the arts as a tool for healing, led her to a career as a Teaching Artist, teaching theater and filmmaking in the juvenile justice system, the foster system, and high schools across Los Angeles.

Her love of actors, storytelling, and genuine curiosity about people from all walks of life led to a career in casting, working across theater, film, T.V., commercials, and documentary.

Her knack for producing, combined with a commitment to raising awareness and funds for important issues and causes, led to a career as an Event Producer for nonprofits in Los Angeles and Amsterdam.

Her love of storytelling also led her to writing and producing award-winning films and working with professional screenwriters and youth to develop their screenplays.

Wow. Uh, that’s a lot of things. Yes — and they each inform the other, creating one big-hearted, creative, bad-ass, know-how-to-get-it-done, nothing-can-stop-us spirit. Try me.
